What advice would you give a high school student who is about to go to college?

To begin with and to be honest, I don't even know what I'm doing in my career hahaha, but I know I like it so I try hard, but well, here are some tips that I'm sure will help you choose what to study or at least get an idea:

1. The most important thing you can do during these years is to establish schedules, to have study habits to be able to be a responsible and organized person, since during higher education (at least in the university) what they do is to give you the materials and information of the subjects and you are the one who must distribute the time (in an organized manner, not everything at the last minute) to keep you up to date and not be lag with homeworks or works.

2.    Do not "fall in love" with a specific subject, because when you enter this stage you will realize that the things you learned during high school will not be the same as what you will be taught here, for example, I thought I was good at mathematics and now in the uniiversity I realized that I know nothing hahahaha. What matters is the career itself, you have to like the career for everything it has, not just the subjects it teaches (besides, loving the career will help you to be motivated when you want to die for not knowing what to do).

3.     You should NEVER let yourself be guided by prestige, how much money you are going to earn or what other people think of you, the only thing that matters is that YOU must love what you are studying, no matter if it is a university, technical or high school, you should not get carried away by those prejudices of "a university is better than a high school" because that could keep you away from your dreams. You must follow what you are passionate about, not the dreams of others.

And.... Finally, don't be afraid of the future or not knowing what to do, do things on your own time and not because of pressure from others, it's your life and your dreams, people who truly love you will always be there for you.

Is religion important to me?

Since I can remember I have believed in God, basically because I was born in a christian family that took me every Sunday to the church where I listened and learned about God, religion and all that things, although I must confess that when I was a child I didn't understand much and many times I started drawing in a notebook or fell asleep in my mom's shoulder hehe. But when I started to grow up and mature I was able to take religion seriously and really believe in that, you know, recognize the weight of my words and not just say memorized things, to be aware of what I believed and why I did that.

However, over the years (and especially this last one because of the whole pandemic issue), as I have been growing up and getting to know the world and the people around me I have changed my perspective on some things, I learned that things are not black or white, only good or only bad, I don't believe that religion is something to follow some rules and that's is, you go to heaven, I think it is being a good person, helping those who need it, always being available for others, being honest, kind, humble, etc. all these are the things that REALLY MATTER; for example, I have seen how some people think that just because they wear fancy clothes and say they believe in God, they can feel superior and believe that gives them the right to judge others (something I find really sad and a little pathetic).

In spite of everything, I feel that although my way of thinking may have changed a little, my faith in God has not, and that is all that matters.

What do you think of the health service in our country?

I feel that the health system in Chile is a service that is basically collapsed, unfortunately it is not sufficient for the population and does not guarantee health care for the patients who do not have sufficient resources to resort a better quality service.

Most people in the country are attended in public hospitals, CESFAM, COSAM, rehabilitation centers, community centers, etc. and in all these services there are deficiencies that impide a good care for the person, there are always waiting lists where they can spend from months to YEARS without receiving the care they deserve, in fact, many people have died and no one called them so that they could finally be attended.

For the same reason, many times the attention offered is bad, they do not give the solution to the problem and the only thing they say is "you have to come another day very early to get an appointment", so you have to be at 7 in the morning standing in line, exposing yourself to the cold and the danger of being in the streets at that time of the day. Besides, the coverage it has is very inefficient and limited, not enough to cover the needs of the people, so many must go into debt to be able to fight their disease.

People need an efficient, quality health service, capable of solving people's problems and  their illnesses.

My happiness
