My favorite(?) subject

 

Weeeeell, it's a little complicated to choose a subject as a "favorite" basically because all of them have been very very stressful hahaha, but if we leave that aside, I think the classes I liked the most were of the "Crecimiento y Desarrollo de los árboles" with teacher Magda Orell, she explained everything sooo clearly and was very kind with us. Besides, the practical homework that we had to do were very simple to do and interesting (and in group by the way).

Her subject was about wood, defined as "the fibrous tissue that forms the trunk and branches of trees", she taught us that wood is made for different parts and it is possible to observe them both as macroscopically and microscopically.

For example, in the image they show us is  macroscopically, they are all the things we can see with the naked eye (most of them).

But not all wood is the same, she taught us that although there are many species of trees, it is possible to differentiate wood into only two types, coniferous (like pine, larch, cedar, etc.) or broadleaf (like lenga, oak, elm, etc.). This two are different in many ways, but the main ones are that conifers are "softwood" and their growth rings are visible, while broadleaf are "hardwood" and their growth rings are not visible (at least to the naked eye, we need a microscope for that). All the other differences are the ones that we can see microscopically, with special apparatus and things like that.

So, I don't know, I feel that they were classes that I really enjoyed, I really liked the matter she taught me and it was very interesting, besides, when the teacher is good I think the classes are even better.

Surviving to online classes

 

I'm not sure if I visit this website soooo frequently (although now that I think about it I have been visited a little very much hahaha) but I think it is very useful for my career as well as for many others, especially in these times with virtual classes where all the material used for the classes are uploaded online.

I am talking about "www.ilovepdf.com" this site is just ✨perfect✨, here you can transform, convert, organize, etc almost any format, for example, you can convert Word to PDF and vice versa.

It is very useful because usually many teachers upload the help material for the class (the powerpoint) in PDF format and that can't be edited, this is why thanks to this page I convert these PDF to PPT and it is MUCH easier for me to take notes during class and not fall behind with the subject.

So, for everything I said before, I can only say now that I recommend this website 100%, it is very easy to use, you can create an account and keep all the documents you need in order. It is simple, free, and more useful than I expected. Is even possible to download it!

My favorite moment

Well, I have to admit that choosing my favorite photography it was a little hard because I don't usually take pictures to.... anything hahaha (and I don't know why) but, after an interesting and fun search I think I found it (It's actually a collage because it's more of a sequence of photos than just one)

It was during the summer vacations in February 2020, I went with my family to the beach of "El Quisco", I was with my sister playing, trying to push us and make us fall to the sand when my brother arrived and we (obviously) tried to make him fall, but he was stronger and the one who ended up falling was me hahahaha; aaand just a was a small wave coming towards us so they had to help me to get up as fast as possible because otherwise all my clothes would have been wet for their fault, and my mom probably would have scolded us XD.

After all the laughs, when we arrived at the cabin we were rented, my dad showed us that pictures he had taken while we were playing (that's why they are a little blurry because my dad doesn't know how to focus lol), and the last one was after the little wave, I was laughing so hard that when it happened I threw myself on the sand because my stomach was hurting. 

So, when I started to check my gallery I knew these pictures would be my favorite, because somehow it makes me see how many times we are happy without noticing it and with this I can appreciate it.
